Updated: Jul 6, 2021
The Heart of Bastrop Talk Show, hosted by Bastrop County Mayor, Connie Schroeder, and Bastrop County Business Owners Association Director TJ Johnson-Finn, just finished the filming of its second season. The last episode of season two aired on Monday, May 17th.
The weekly talk show, which was created by, and is produced by, Bastrop Photography & Productions, airs on Mondays on several online platforms and covers travel and tourism in Bastrop County. The show highlights local people, places, and businesses in county and gives viewers an opportunity to really get to know the people who are the heart of Bastrop County.
There will be several special summer episodes of the talk show in 2021 including Corvette Invasion. Viewers are encouraged to come out and watch the live tapings of the shows at the special events. Special episode taping times and places will be announced on Facebook @theheartofbastrop and The Heart of Bastrop’s website. Season 3 will begin filming in August and the first episode of season 3 will air September 6, 2021.
Last season, each episode featured special segments. One of those segments is the “Weekly News Beat” of the Elgin Courier and Bastrop County Insider. The weekly News Beat informs viewers of what they missed in the previous week’s edition and what to expect in the next edition. Each segment also includes “Hey Sarie!” a special segment where viewers can write into the show and ask questions about local people, places, or things; Sarie Wingenfeld answers those questions in a witty and informative way.
The show is sponsored by Visit Bastrop, The Bastrop County Business Owners Association, and the Hampton Inn & Suites in Bastrop, Texas. Sponsorships opportunities are available for future episodes and advertising space is available. For information on advertising contact T.J. Johnson-Finn at (936) 657-8012
